What proportion of Chinese characters can you understand? Take the quiz and you will find the answer on the home page of this product.
“EasyChinese - Most Commonly Used Character I” contain the most frequently used 101 characters, composed of 20 units, each with 5 characters. Each unit will lead you making the progress as the bar chart show in screenshots, your learning progress also show in the home page with pie chart.
Chinese text computing shows, that only a small portion of Chinese characters are frequently used. So, it is the most efficient way to learn Chinese from these most commonly used characters.“EasyChinese: Most Commonly Used Characters Series” will launch 10 volumes, each containing only 101 characters, and 1,010 in total sorted by frequency.
You will be able to recognize 41.96% of daily Chinese in written and oral form after learning Volume I.

There are more than 90 thousand characters in the Chinese language in total. However, only a small portion of them are frequently used. According to the statistics,
comprehend 99.18% characters in all Chinese text if you have mastered the top 3,000 of the most commonly used characters;
89.14% of the Chinese language if you have mastered the top 1,000;
64.64% of the Chinese language if you have mastered the top 300; and
41.96% of the Chinese language if you have mastered ONLY the top 101!
This product has two major functional modules: learning and assessment.
Assessment: select the right one out of the six random characters on the screen by listening to its phonetic sound. Each assessment has 20 questions and you can move on to the next level only when you have full marks.
Learning: containing functions like “pronunciation”, “stroke demo”, “words and expressions”, “explanation”, and “writing practice”).
The pie chart on the home page refers to the assessment result, indicating your learning progress.
Accompanying with the assessment process, there are three sets of encouraging animations (growing peach tree, caterpillar to butterfly, and tadpole to frog).
Note: this application is highly effective in facilitating the learning of Chinese characters. However, it cannot replace formal language teaching.
